Mine Fields Empty Mine Fields

Sat Dec 01, 2018 8:58 pm
Hi all,

Need a little insight on if my group is using them correctly.
When a tank moves into a mine field it takes a d6 AP hit, we assume it's the same as being fired apon, the tank has to make morale check  and fails, then it is stopped in the mine field, correct?
If, on a later turn, it can move again would we have to see if it hit another mine? Also if doing a top speed and the first half of the order ends in the mine field would another mine hit on the second half of the top speed order?

Had a German player try to run a king Tiger through a mine field. The mine glanced and pinned the tank. Next turn he tactical coordination passed and moved the tank  and again hit a mine needing and failed a morale check. Then was hit with a Priest's 105mm causing the crew to bail.

Yes. You ruled it correctly. Take a morale test if hit by a mine.
You roll to see if your tank hit a mine every time you attempt to move (be it a full move or move & fire). But only a single time per order.
