Do Platoon Commands, Forward Head Quarters etc. fight and shoot

Hello!

After reading the rules once again I'm confused. Nowhere is the rules is something written if Platoon Commands, Forward Head Quarters etc. fight and shoot. Did I miss something.

Nowhere in the rules does it say they are Exempt from the rules governing all other infantry, either...

For my money, they tend to sit somewhere safe (particularly FHQ), preserving that Officer bonus, and calling in off-table artillery though.

All infantrie including gun crews is supposed to be armed with rifles (or SMG's where appropriate). So in a pinch, the Fwd HQ may defend itself. While some Platoon Command units are quite small other are full blown squads and it would be a waste to keep them out of the fight.

THX but were is it mentioned that they habe rifles?

So i join with my similiar question - flamethrower team is mostly two men, i supose one is carring flamethrower and second can be equiped with rifle or smg? Very hard to find figure without weapon so i add simple rifleman.

All troops unless specified have a rifle by default.

First paragraph 'Rifles';

"All infantry are assumed to have a rifle, even if gun crew or a rear echelon supply unit."
