Squads and sections

Hi,I'm new to the rules, and to the forum, then my apologize if this question was made before.
I see that a squad is divided in section, one riflemen and one LMG. It's possible to play with the squad unified, or they must operate in section?

It's your game so anything is possible. I have seen some players run their squads that way, but although your firepower would be better, one pin and a rather large squad is completely ineffective. Plus the game is designed the way it is both for historical accuracy and for playability so I would never change that myself.

Ok, I understand the problem to use an unified squad. My issue was only about the orders.
Well, now I'm waiting for the end of the lockdown to play.
