Loader teams and casualties

When you purchase a loader team for a gun, does it become part of the gun crew from then on, or is it still a separate unit.

So if you have a gun with 3 crew and purchase a loader team. Do you have a single unit with 6 crew now, or is the loader team removed after taking 3 casualties? If it is a combined crew, is there a point where you lose the roll for the extra shot or does the loader team keep functioning even after 4 casualties and there are only 2 crew left.

If the loader team is a separate team and removed after 3 casualties, do you take a BR chit for it, and a second chit when the gun is destroyed as well? Or is it only a single chit when the gun is destroyed.

They are considered one team for targeting and morale, but you remove from the loader team first. Once all three are gone you lose the ability to benefit from the potential extra fire action. Only one BR token is taken and only when all six men are destroyed or driven off.

All of the crew, as everyone abandons the gun.

The gun is only one unit, with or without loader teams.
Si, if you roll a 1-2 for morale the unit is a goner (as a whole)
