Questions about the Italian Lists Empty Questions about the Italian Lists

Thu May 17, 2018 12:41 pm
Hello all
I have any questions about the italian Lists in Torch.

1.: Why the 100mmL18 and the 105mmL28 on-board Artillery Guns costs the same points, although the 105mm cannon is better?

2.: The "Bersaglieri Motorcycle Squad" are 7 men, but 3 Motorcycles have a Transport capacity of 6 places, how does this work?

This was discussed on the old forum, but got lost. In short, the Bersalgeri should have 4 MC, with one man riding solo.

You are mistaking Battlegroup for one of the competition rulessets. Pointscost are not purely higher for "better" weapons, but also their availability etc.

I think its a fine line between Historical and competition. To far historical and why bother playing as Germans because your just going to loose? I think people still want a fair and balanced game and Tobruk and Torch have gone to far on the side of historical as the british are better gunned armoured and more cost effective. Overlord and kursk are the absolute sweet spot for me and Fotr Works because its a hard fought game for the germans but that just fits the theme/time so well.

If you feel it would make for a very unbalanced fight (as war is!), just play two games reversing sides.

...and the other day people were telling me the British are hopeless in Torch and Tobruk.

Guess people need to actually play more games to find out. My DAK don't have many issues... neither do my Brits.

I've only done British to date so far for North Africa. I'm pondering Italians with 25% DAK atm. So will inevitable get some more plays in.

Thanks for the answers.

I have one more question about the italian armoured list.
Why the Semovente and the M14/41 Platoons give only 1 Support choise? In the other lists (German, US...) the Platoons give 4 Support choises.
Is this because the italian Support were very rare, or what is the reason?

I ask, because i want to understand the backgound of the book.
