Here's the American M3 Stuart, called the Honey in British service. The model is 1/100 scale (15mm), from the Plastic Soldier Company.

I had originally planned to paint it in the Caunter disruptive pattern, but after several attempts I gave up in despair and settled for overall desert yellow.

That's good, I like the colour you've used. A good match for Light Stone , a bit faded.
Oddly, I think some of the PSC 1/100 tanks look better than their 1/72 versions.

Very nicely painted. As regards the Cuanter Scheme ,I would give it a go. Once you are happy with one ,it becomes a reference template for the rest. Painting from the charts did play havoc with my head and took a couple of attempts before I was happy .
