Wacht am Rhein - Question: Cavalry Reconnaissance Troop Empty Wacht am Rhein - Question: Cavalry Reconnaissance Troop

Wed May 15, 2019 10:47 am
Since there is no separate Wacht am Rhein - Topic .....

The Cavalry Reconnaissance Troop has the Scout2 rule (counting every Scout as two Scouts - for being out-scouted)
But here only the Jeep MG Teams and Jeep Mortar Teams have the prefix "Scout".
So: are they the only one's counted as Scouts or is every single unit/team in this Troop a Scout  ? (also the stretcher bearers and the like)

because in any other BG the M8 Armoured Car also has the Special Rule "Scout"

maybe it should be that way because the German pendant, the Armoured Reconnaissance Infantry Platoon also has the Scout2 - Special rule and not a single unit is named "Scout" in ist very name.

This was asked before. I can´t remember the exact answer from Warwick. But from what i can recollect it is that the whole unit count as scout2. But every sub-componnent indiidual unit is not an scout.
Have to verify this though.

Warwick posted this on the Facebook group a few weeks ago.
"You may be over-thinking this, just add up the number of Scout or Scout2 rules. Actual units on the table is irrelevant, all that counts for out-scouting is Scout, not units, or extra jeeps, or how many teams you have, or anything else, and the Scout rules don't have to come from the Recce section (although most do)."

PS questions on WaR should go in the softback supplement section.
