Number of orders and period of war

I wonder why number of orders are not adjusted to period of war. In early period for the same cost we can buy more unit than in late period. For example: in barbarossa 19 x T-26 cost around 350 points. In Kursk 10 x T-35 cost also 350. So in both situations we have 1k6 orders but in first case we have 19 units and in second only 10. I compared only early and mid period but diference between early and late is greater. It is obvious that in early period should be more orders.

Perhaps this nicely reflects command and control issues, which were pretty poor for most armies in 1939/40 and generally pretty good in 1945, so in early war lots of units and few orders, late war fewer units but they can mostly do something?

Why do you think that command and control was poor in 1939/40? German blitzkrieg in Poland and France proof something else. I could say that german command in 1945 was poor. But this all isnt important - this is game and i dont want see where more of my units can do nothing during turn. If i have 19 units and i have average 3-4 orders per turn - game become very static.

And Germans don't have an issue with orders in 39/40 games.

French, Poles, Belgians and BEF on the other hand...

You can say what you want. Doesn't make you right though. For me it reflects early command and control issues, despite Russians having Stal Stal which can offset theirs.



If you want more orders and want a game where everything is magically under God like control, then use more order dice or play a different game. SimpleS.

Or don't take a Tank Company in such a small game.
