Air-to-Air combat
Mon Mar 15, 2021 1:51 pm
Are there any special rules for air-to-air combat? I didn’t find anything in the rulebook, but I don’t know if I’ve seen all the faq’s etc.
I assume MGs and autocannons may be used, just like ground troops firing AA. I guess Area fire only? Do they count as multiple mounts?
Thanks, BV

Never really thought about it, lucky if we ever get one plane arrive let alone one for each side.

I’m going to run the Kursk megagame (hopefully) in the near future and figured there’s probably going to be planes from both sides in the air. BV

Here is Warwicks reply to a similar question back in 2018
“ 3. Сan I attack the enemy plane with my plane?
Yes, as suppressing fire with standard rules, like any other target. Then roll for damage (if suppressed). Never sen an aircraft shot down by an aircraft, but my Sturmovik came close to getting a HS-129 once.“
