change the rules?

hello, I have a big problem, and I need help:affraid: , in my playgroup, one player, change the whole tank shooting system etc, it even has a list with many modifiers and uses two dice of six:scratch: , I understand that the rules will fall Are they convenient, but where does a home rule end? Does this change the regulation?

It is indeed a slippy slope adopting house rules. Maybe for grey areas or completely new aspects but generally any 'house rules' I have played invariably revert back to the original. A place I feel much happier in. A lot have thought has already gone into the rules and a change of one aspect usually slows down the whole mechanism.

If one or more people in your group want to use home rules, the opponent has to agree with that. If you are feeling not happy with them, tell him that and say no, stick to the rules as written. If he then does not agree, tough, don't play him.

As an alternative to just not playing together you could try to explain to the other player that you understand they like their home rules but you want to keep in practice with the rules as written and suggest alternating between the rules.
