Battle of Depienne
Sat May 05, 2018 9:21 pm
Hi, Does anybody know what German Armour was involved at the Battle of Depienne? I'm trying to piece information together to recreate Lt.Cl.Frost's impressive march from Oudna back to Allied lines. I'm having difficulty finding information other than "Six large German tanks...." Any tanks going to look big if you're armed with a PIAT or a Gammon grenade!
Will be doing a scenario for El Fedja Farm as well against Fallschirmjager.
Any info in these areas would be greatly appreciated.

Gammon Bombs and a Boys AT rifle you mean...
Most references I have mention more armoured cars, and some tanks, two of which were knocked out.
I doubt it was much that was heavy given the German units involved.

Yes I mean Gammon bombs and oops stuck in Arnheim so Piats came to mind. Not got Torch just yet so missing army list at mo.
Just happy to be able to use my DAK, Fallschirmjager and British Paratroopers together.
So some Boys figures needed then...
Should be a good combination of opposing forces. Might try and tailor some resource rules for brits as equipment supply was so poor and drop canisters were stolen by local populace and some kind of cat and mouse mechanic for German recce patrols.
Getting more of a stickler for the facts and historical fights.
Thanks
