Lovely. Don't fancy being down range of them.

I think these care wonderful models painted to a very high standard. I have to say I am very dissappointed with some of the comments made by a minority of TMP colleagues.

Im just begining research on the MG42 on tripod at the moment, just noticed these dont appear to have butts fitted. Not seen that for MG 42..........so far lol

Thanks Piers I did realise that they were MG 34s, was just wondering if removing the butt was a feature of mounting on the tripod just for the MG 34. Not come across it before so was curious. Tend towards to late war so mostly MG 42 I look at.

Think it was only the MG34. Never seen it done with an MG42.

Everyone seems to have got in such a tizz about these bloody little machine guns that I'm beginning to think I shall have to remake them , and re-issue the set.
They could be set up in a number of different ways, the butts were removable ( and also on the MG42) , and the bipods could be dangling shut, dangling open , or folded up under the barrel, which I confess was certainly more common.
But it's probably best if I recast in the configuration everyone expects, with butt attached and bipod folded up.
There was a problem with remodelling the original, in that I had lost it after twenty years, but today it is found , which makes the job a simple one .

Just read the thread over at TMP which reflects exactly why I logged out of there 5+ years ago.
I think these look great and to be honest would not have picked up on these "issues" if they had not been pointed out by others so no reason to change them imho.

To be honest, I see absolutely nothing wrong with them, and I like the poses of the teams! I hadn't noticed the butt stock not fitted but wouldn't worry about it anyway as Mr Barton says they were used in many ways. Please don't take this as being sycophantic Mr Barton but keep up the good work !

Thanks everyone for the kind support.
Since I have yet to do an SS HMG team in smocks, I shall do the "standard " configuration for them, then we shall have it as an option.
