Ammunitions

Hi, waiting for the end of the lockdown, someday, I'm into the rules for what will be my first game.
I'm trying to undestand the ammunitons concept. An AFV has a limited number of ammo.
When I use Open fire order I fire twice. This is considered one or two ammo??
if I fire only once, because I spot only once or I use Fire and movement, is another ammo used? Or not?

the concept is very simple: if you spot the enemy you are allowed to fire and therefore a ammo is spent.
The number of tentative to spot/fire depends on the order you use: "open fire" two attempts, "move and fire" (or v-v) one attempt.
