Nice little battlegroup. I like the plastic germans from Battlefront as they are well detailed and mix very well with their metal range. But i am not sure if i would base them on single bases, because i fear it would be to easy to break some of the weapon. Your experience with them would be appreciated, as i have several of those in my bits box.
The idea to build one of the Pak40 (you build a Pak40, not a Pak38) in a position where there are actually unlimbering/limbering the gun is great! Now you only need a Panther or two. Twisted Evil

Thanks Wolford for the clarification on the Pak and for appreciating the
"Unlimbering / limbering".
Actually, with the single base, rifles and individual weapons in general, they break more easily at the tip during handling and when they are put away.
I thought for a future, to make bases of 2 or three miniatures (crossfire model) depending on the battlegroup.
How do you make the basics?

(Translation from Italian is always automatic. I hope it is understandable)
Andrea

Nice looking force. So tempted by those Battlefront figures, but I already have 5 platoons. Maybe one more? That would give me 2 full companies - not that I'd ever use that many.

Thanks for posting.

Cheers, Andy

You confirm my suspicion, that those plastic minis are to delicate. So far i use only FOW metal minis (with the exception of a few of the new soft plastic minis*) based on 1 cent coins, As many of those desert Brits from BF have long (especially with bayonet) portruding rifles, i use larger 2 cent coins for those. I also use 25mm washers to base 2 minis together, in order to have less bases to move around. Weapon teams like German MG teams or mortars i also base with 2 to 3 minis. But for many of my games i still use my FOW based minis. Works very well.

So far your English is understandable. Smile

Greetings
Wolflord

*While the soft plastic does not break, the details of those new minis are not top notch. But they are cheap so i bought one blister as a test and to have some more poses, but in the future i wold prefer Peter Pig Miniatures instead of Battlefronts soft plastic.

Hello
English is not "mine" but of the translator to whom I make small changes.

The next bttG will be Fow in metal (parà German- in preparation) then I will continue with other plastic material always fow for united states (armored infantry) and parà British PSC (very beautiful).
For the future I will see, even if I prefer metal.
For the bases use coins of 2 euro cents to give "heaviness" to the plastic for the individual figures, game fish for teams like mg, bazooka etc .. (sometimes coins larger than cents)

A question out of context, Wolford.
I'm making a container for the American paratroopers Platoon
I put words, flags and logos.
What do you say: I put the logo of the screaming eagles or the All American ...?

For bases I'm using MDF mainly 20mm diameter for single figures and small FoW for pairs.

If i understand you correctly, you mean a container for transporting your Minis. Well, as you can guess i am a little bit biased. Smile

You should choose the logo you like most, or if you can not decide, what about putting both logos on the container?

If that is not possible and you can not decide, just put the the All American on the container.  Very Happy

NTM: excellent work (miniatures and bases).
Are they Waffen SS?

I decided for the AllAmerican.
I'm at the book "Overlord"
The claws of the 17th must wait to take the field.

They're painted as Reich Arbeitsdienst to be used as Auxiliaries in FotR or they will be once I get round to painting the other half of the squad. I've used various BF figures from their mid late war and DAK ranges.

Armoured Pzgran in 15mm 200px-10

I did not know the RAD. Now I'm informed.

The miniatures were already well done in the "original" photo
Now that I see them better I can only confirm that they are excellent.
