Flamethrower

We are new to this game and are confused about the rules for Flamethrowers.
Situation yesterday:
My english combat engineers attacked a stationary Panzer4 with a Flamethrower.
Rof is 10.
Strengh is 1d6.
Now i roll 10 dice to hit? And every hit has the same strengh?
Or only 1 hit with 1d6 cause it is a tank?

Only 1 dice to hit.
And the penetration power will be D6 (random) for that single jet of flame (if you hit).

ROF is used when firing vs infantry or deployed guns.

The ROF concept is different from that other game.

And don't forget that the enemy has to take a extra chit for being under a flame attack (if this is the first time).
