Any use for SMG in BG Tobruk

Hello!

Just sorted my old FoW Britisch Mid War stuff and found a lot of soldiers with SMGs. What to do? Did they arrive to late for 1940/41 and were not used or did you drop them from the lists?

Perhaps put some of them in the platoon command?

In 1941 the British had normally only one SMG in a platoon. But some units acquired additional SMG's, but not many. You could add a few to your squad leader, I also add them to a HMG crew or a Boys AT-Rifle, but most timesonly because i lack more suitable miniatures.

You can include some Tommy-gun armed guys, to act as squad NCO´s. They look superb with those gangster looking drum magazines. I will do, if just for the looks.
Then, when playing, just arrange beforehand with you opponent if you are intending to use them as proper SMG´s or not. In that case, you just adjust ROF accordingly.

I have always used SMG armed figures,they look good and I use them as such.
